Sofa Cushions 

 Measuring for Sofa and Chair Cushions

 

 

 

1)      Firstly we need to ensure the right measurements are taken.

Go to either the Sofa Seat Cushion  or Sofa Back Cushion page. (These should open in a new window enabling you to simply close it to return here.)   Select the ‘Shape’ option from the drop down box and then select the     i    information button. Make a note of the measurements needed.

 

 

2)      Undo the zip at the rear of the cushion and ascertain whether the existing filling is foam.

a.       For cushions with foam fillings take measurements in inches from the cover, seam to seam and add 1".   If the cushion seams are piped, measure to the outside of the piping and add ½".

b.      For cushions with fibre or feather fillings, remove the inner before measuring to enable it to be laid flat and then measure as above.

 

3)      With the cushions removed from the sofa/chair take the side to side measurements between the arms.

 

4)      The tables below for calculating the foam size are not yet active.   Until they are please copy the appropriate table to word, excel or similar program.  Enter the measurements and e mail the completed document to . The “Foam size” information will be provided by e mail reply to enable you process an order on line.

 

5)      If your existing cushion is foam put an “x” against “Polyester 6oz wrap” or “No wrap”. The polyester will give a slightly rounded look to the edges of the cushion.

If your existing cushion is feather or fibre filling, select “Poyester 14 oz wrap”.
